Real Weddings

I love sharing not only my wedding experiences I love sharing visuals of my darling couples.

Emily and Travis at All Saints Winery in Rutherglen

I married Em and Trav at All Saints Winery in Rutherglen, you would never know from these phots that it was 43 degrees in the shade. When you get married, everything, including heat, melts away.

This love story all started on a day at the races under a marquee where they didn't say boo to each other it was at a post races party at a Ricky’s house where the magic was about to happened.

Fair to say by this point there had been a decent number of champagne and beers consumed by this point of the evening.

A little bit country.

Trav was just standing about when this curly haired blonde walks up the stairs, a beaming smile and just a knockout in a pink dress.

All moody like.

Em reached the top of the stairs took her heels off and looking for somewhere to sit a few people were standing around the couches chatting.

Pre-ceremony vibes at All Saints Winery in Rutherglen.

Ricky handed her a glass of red and she got chatting to people one of which was Trav.

Don’t turn around Trav, you can’t see her yet!

That group chat slowly turned into just the two of them chatting to each other.

My happy place, there is no doubt about that.

The more they talked the more they found they had in common, Em is pretty sure she won him over with her talk about sport, even when Em told Trav she was a mad Collingwood supporter he continued to talk to her.

You can turn around now Travis.

They eventually ran out of red wine and then Ricky did the ultimate wing man move for Trav and said “You could go down to the wine cellar (ie the garage) to pick a bottle of wine. Trav’s plan to get Em away from the crowd worked a treat and down to the garage they go with Em being a very willing participant which brings me to the first pash story.

Em could see in Trav’s eye that he was going to make a move and boy was she up for it…I have been told it was the greatest pash ever…well greatest like a souvlaki at 3am on the way home on a drunken night kinda greatest pash ever. Trav had a biggest smile on his face when they went back upstairs to everyone, so subtle.

The heat was 45 degrees in the shade so fans were had.

Trav said “from the first moment we talked she just had something about her, we stood off to the side talking for what seemed like hours, I kind of forgot that the rest of our friends where around us.”

As Em went to leave that night, her housemate Bec was climbing into the Uber as Em and Trav were swapping numbers, one more cheeky kiss was had as Em went to get in said uber, Bec leans out and yells “Is he coming with us”

No Bec he isn’t.

From that farewell love was blossoming. The next morning Kirsten gave Em the rundown on Trav, then they did what all modern day women do…a social media scan and all was given the OK!

Mama’s are always a favourite to be witnesses

And so she eagerly awaited for that sms from Trav…and waited… and waited. She and Bec decided to grab the bull by the horns and sms him instead and clearly just the right push he needed to get this gig going. Texting courting began in earnest but it took a few weeks to be able to catch up.

you are your crew

Trav eventually thew it out there that they should meet for dinner at Tiamo’s on Lygon St Carlton. Em was pleasantly surprised as Trav’s selected of eatery, from all the restaurants on Lygon Street this was a favourite of Em’s Dad and brother Ben’s. FATE!

Enter your reception with energy and pizazz

Any nerves Trav had were quickly squashed when she got there, she took his breath away getting out of the Uber. The date went well, they swapped stories on life, travel and family, they couldn’t believe how easy it was to talk to each other and Trav may have gone for the over confident kiss at the table and Em was ok with that.

Speeches can be another emotional part of your day.

They said good-bye after a bottle wine at other bar and they bid each other goodnight. Em said it was the best date she had ever been on. Trav felt on top of the world, he got home and told his housemate “I think I may have met someone special.

They had been dating for 4 or so months, everything just felt so easy and comfortable between them in fact the big L word was dropped while on a long weekend up on the Gold Coast, and they then knew that they were in each other’s future.

Love a good bride costume change.

Emily, Travis said falling in love with you came on fast, as much as he tried to keep it cool he was head over heels. He said you are the warmest most down to earth person. He has never met anyone that could keep up with his friends like you can.

Pashes on the dance floor

Travis, Em admires your openness, even though it comes with a warning, as you have no filter and can’t keep a secret, she still loves that about yo

Emily & Travis, may you now go off into the big wide world not as girlfriend and boyfriend but as husband and wife.

Em, I love how you described your future together, you said “We have a world to concur together and I cannot wait, no matter what is ahead.

Trav said “No matter what the future holds, with Em by my side, there is nothing we cannot do.
