Chloe and Nattalie 1.0 and 2.0 in Flinders
The scene is set in a sweaty Fitzroy nightclub called Yah Yah’s. Chloe remembers very clearly when she first saw Nattalie, she was dancing away standing out from the crowd with her short ice blonde hair wearing a holographic silver backpack.
Chloe knew what she had to do, she made a beeline for this blonde with nothing getting in her way, she had to introduce herself, post haste, reaching her prey she stopped in her tracks and simply said “hello”
At the end of the second date, Natt called mum to say “I think I’m in love”
Chloe you grew up thinking that getting married would not be an option for you and that you wouldn’t come out to anyone at all. So, for you to be able to stand next to Nattalie and solidify your love is therefore extra special.
It really means the world to you that your love is now recognised as equal and that you get to share the rest of your life with the love of your life not as just partners, not as just best friends, not as girlfriend but as wife and wife.
Post Covid Take two
Within two weeks of meeting, Natt asked of Chloe “will you be my girlfriend”
“Nattalie, you love that there is never a dull moment with Chloe. You really believe that she is good at absolutely everything and loves all activities. You love Chloe’s enthusiasm and that her energy draws you in. You are outrageously thoughtful, kind and you makes her feel safe. Nattalie admires your resilience, your sense of adventure and most definitely you weirdness. She has a confession here today, sometimes she even enjoys you Broadway tunes.”
“Chloe, you fell in love with Nattalie’s intelligence, keen sense of justice and her generosity. You love the way she cares about the world we live in, and that she takes action against injustice when she sees it. You also love the way she stands up for herself and others, with a fierce intensity and those flashing green eyes. You really love that you can be your adventurous and ridiculous 5 year old selves together and get completely carried away. But mostly you love that Nattalie always has your back, and that you make the best team.”
In fact that very first date in the very first week, Natt brought her French bulldog ‘Biggie Smalls’ in an attempt to woo Chloe, too bad Chloe didn’t like Frenchies but she pretended to love him to get into Natt’s good books, thank goodness things changed in that department and Chloe is now the favourite Biggie Smalls mamma. Natt knew they had a future at the end of their first date.
Your downtime is pretty simple, as long as it’s together you don’t give a shit what you do but my favourite of your downtimes would have to be your obsessing over how cute and snuggly your dog Biggie Smalls is, while drinking a morning coffee, closely followed by a wine.
